A 53-Year-Old Woman Battles For Life After Her Boyfriend Long Grabbed Her Throat Over Goat Meat At Assin Wurakese

A 53-year-old woman, Grace Mensah, is battling for her life at the St. Francis Hospital in Assin Fosu after her 25-year-old boyfriend, identified as Arhinful long grabbed her neck.

The incident occurred on May 7, 2025, following a heated argument over goat meat at their residence in Assin Wurakese.

According to the victim’s daughter, Priscilla Boakye, Arhinful brought home goat meat for Grace to prepare light and Fufu, but when he returned with friends after taking alcohol to charge his appetite, he was displeased with the amount of meat in the food.

This sparked a violent altercation, during which Arhinful grabbed Grace’s throat, and subjected her to severe beatings which eventually caused a leg fracture.

Community members who heard her screaming for help intervened and rushed Grace to the hospital, where she remains under treatment. Sadly 57-year-old Grace Mensah has been unable to speak since the attack.

Arhinful absconded after the incident. The family revealed that this is not the first time Arhinful has subjected Grace to physical abuse, despite her being older than him.

The family attributes Grace’s reluctance to end the relationship to Arhinful’s perceived satisfaction with her sexual needs. The revealed Arhinful is a smoker and drunkard and with youthful exuberance he can satisfy Grace in bed.

They are now calling on the police to apprehend Arhinful and bring him to justice. Grace’s condition remains critical.
