The Parliamentary Select Committee on Education has urged the government to support private universities by given them some tax waiver on educational infrastructure, materials, Research Allowance they need in the country.
The chairman made this known at KAAF University during the Parliamentary Select committee on education visit to both public and private universities where the KAAF University was last to visit, he also urged the government to complete all uncompleted projects in the various senior High schools to help eliminate the double track system from the schools.
He added that, government must consider sitting on the round table with the directors from various private university and share their fair idea on the policy.
Finally, the vice chancellor for KAAF University, Prof. Herbert Kwabla Dei urged the committee to table the challenges the private universities are facing and support government can give them for them to be able to also educate Ghanians .
