Two Arrested,One At Large For Stealing Agenda 111 Project Iron Rods

The Kasoa Ofaakor Jei River Police have apprehended two suspects for stealing iron rods from Agenda 111 site at Kasoa Ofaakor in the Awutu Senya East Municipality of the Central Region.

Agenda 111 is one of the flagship government project aimed at improving infrastructure in the healthcare.

31 pieces of 18’MM iron were found in the Tricycle popularly knows as Aboboyaa and upon interrogation, they admitted that, this is the second time they have been to the site to steal some of the roads.

According to eyewitnesses, three suspects arrived at the scene with a tricycle and were intercepted bya security officers at Odupong Ofaakor Senior high.

One of the security man at the Odupong SHS, Emmanuel Sakyi said, they saw suspects on tricycle and upon interrogation they confirmed that , they stole the iron roads from the Agenda 111 site.

His vigilance and timely intervention helped the police apprehend the two suspects.

However, one of the three suspects is currently on the run, and efforts are underway to apprehend him.

The Kasoa Ofaakor Jei River Police are currently holding the two arrested suspects, who are assisting with investigations.

Meanwhile the Municipal Chief Executive for the Awutu Senya East Assembly, Hon. Seth Banini, visited the scene and the construction site, where he condemned the actions of the suspects.

He cautioned the youth in Kasoa to desist from the acts that could tarnish the reputation of Kasoa and emphasized the importance of maintaining peace and security.

Hon. Banini reiterated his commitment to working towards creating more job opportunities for the youth, encouraging them to engage in productive activities that would benefit themselves and the community.
