Gabriel Kwamega Atokple, Volta Region’s Council of State representative, has donated relief items to victims of the recent tidal wave disaster in southern Volta Region’s coastal communities.
The items, including rice, sugar, spaghetti, and gallons of cooking oil, aim to alleviating the plight of displaced families in Agavedzi, Amotinu, Salakope, and nearby areas.
The donation ceremony took place in Keta, with NADMO officials and local leaders receiving the items on behalf of the victims.
Mr. Atokple’s gesture shows solidarity with those affected, commending NADMO and local leaders for their efforts.
The tidal wave devastation has displaced hundreds, with calls for a sea defense wall to protect the communities from destructions.
