The Awutu Senya East Municipal assembly in collaboration with NADMO and security taskforce has embarked on decongestion exercise at the center business of Kasoa to clear traders who trade on pedestrians pavement and tared roads.
The exercise is expected to clear unauthorized structures, enhance pedestrians movement and improve traffick flow.
In the early hours of today, the NADMO and Security Taskforce carried out joint operation to dismantle makeshift stalls, remove vendors who have taken over pedestrians pavement and other prohibited areas of the Central Business District(CBD).
In an interview with Angel news, the Municipal Chief Executive of Awutu Senya East, Hon. Seth Sabba Banini Serwornu condermd the act of the protestors, adding that the assembly has had negotiation with the leaders of the trader before they embarked on the exercise.
He urged the traders to comply with the directives for their own safety since trading on the tared road is risky.
