Agona Nkwata Youth Lock Baidoo Bonso SHS Headmaster’s Office Over Alleged Mismanagement

Some irate concern Ahanta youth and the Eagle Eyes group of Agona Nkwata in the Ahanta West Municipality of the Western Region have locked up the office and the residents of the headmaster of Baidoo Bonso Senior High technical School, Mr. Samuel Ofori Appiah, accusing him of gross mismanagement and abuse of office.
The youth allege that the headmaster has been using dubious and illegal means to enrich himself at the expense of the school and its students.
According to them they alleged, Mr. Ofori Appiah has been smuggling food items meant for student consumption, selling school property including metal beds, tables, and chairs to scrap dealers, and engaging in unauthorised financial practices.
They further claim that the headmaster has been collecting illegal fees from newly admitted first-year students and charging unapproved practical fees for WASSCE candidates.
Additionally, they cited a general lack of maintenance of school facilities under his leadership, which they say has worsened conditions on campus.
The group is therefore calling on the Ghana Education Service and the Ministry of Education to intervene immediately by removing Mr. Ofori Appiah from office and investigating the allegations.
Some of the concerned group members in an interview process had this to say.
End.
