President Urges Ahafo Chiefs To Allocate Land For Modern Regional Hospital

President H.E. John Dramani Mahama has called on traditional leaders (Nananom) in the Ahafo Region to make land available for the construction of a modern Ahafo Regional Hospital.
Speaking during his thank-you tour in the regional capital, Goaso, the President disclosed that plans are underway to establish a regional hospital as part of the Mahama Care initiative.
This project aligns with the pledge in the NDC manifesto to provide modern hospitals for all six newly created regions.
According to President Mahama, the proposed hospital will serve as a referral center and will offer a range of specialist services, including maternal and child health care, surgery, diagnostics, and emergency treatment.
“The new Ahafo Regional Hospital will eliminate the need for residents to travel to Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) for quality health care,” he stated.
He encouraged local authorities and community leaders to support the initiative by swiftly allocating suitable land for the project.
