Assin Central MCE Election: Mahama’s Nominee Secures 100% Endorsement, Pledged To Deal With Critical Challenges

Baba Gariba Adams has been unanimously endorsed as the new Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the Assin Fosu Municipality in the Central Region. All 22 Assembly Members present voted in his favor, reflecting a strong consensus on his leadership.

This endorsement follows the Assembly’s earlier rejection of former nominee Charlotte Boakye.

Baba Gariba’s unanimous confirmation is widely seen as a reflection of unity and a collective commitment to development within the municipality.

In his acceptance speech, Mr. Adams expressed gratitude to the Assembly Members for the trust placed in him.

He pledged to work collaboratively with all stakeholders to address key challenges such as sanitation, youth unemployment, and infrastructure development.

He emphasized his commitment to leading an open, inclusive, and transparent administration that welcomes contributions from all sectors.

Meanwhile, Central Regional NDC Chairman, Professor Richard Kofi Asiedu, commended the Assembly Members for their support during the confirmation.

He described Baba Gariba as the right person to lead the municipality’s development agenda, assuring that his leadership would be inclusive and unifying, and not limited to a select few.
