A 58 Year Old Woman Murdered At Obuasi Abompekrom

The Deceased identified as Madam Akosua Attah, a 58 old woman was attacked and nearly beheaded in her kitchen at Abompekrom, in the Obuasi West Municipality of the Ashanti Region.

The sad incident occurred during a power outage caused by a GRIDCO substation transformer issue at Obuasi.

Sister, the Deceased daughter who spoke to ABN’s Chukwu Joseph explained how she heard her mother’s death.

Speaking to Mr. Frederick Addo, the Assembly Member for the Abompekrom Electoral Area said, “I received a phone calls indicating that, this tragedy incident has happened at 7:00pm.

So I and my team moved to the scene and saw the lifeless body of madam Ataa lying in cold blood with multiple injuries” Mr. Addo said.

The Assembly Member described the scene as harrowing stating that the amount of blood in the room suggested the deceased had bled profusely before succumbing to her injuries.

The body has since been deposited at the morgue, and Obuasi Divisional Police Command has launched an investigation into the incident. As of now no arrests have been made.
