Peace Restored And Unity Regained As Mfantseman NPP Executives Reconcile After Exclusive Meeting

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) executives in the Mfantseman Constituency of the Central Region have emerged from an exclusive high-level meeting with renewed unity and purpose.
The gathering, held at the prestigious Manna Heights Hotel in Mankessim, symbolized a significant milestone in healing internal rifts that had threatened the party’s strength and direction following the 2024 general elections defeat.
The meeting brought together not only the local constituency executives but also notable figures from the regional and national echelons of the party’s hierarchy. It served as a forum for reconciliation, strategic dialogue, and restoration of party discipline.
Addressing the media after the closed-door session, the Mfantseman Constituency Chairman, Mr. Nathaniel Owusu, was candid in his reflections.
He acknowledged the existence of some misunderstandings and internal disagreements that had marred the party’s performance in the 2024 elections. “In politics, misunderstandings are inevitable,” he admitted.
“But we have taken bold steps today to confront our past, rectify our mistakes, and recommit ourselves to the common vision of victory and development.”
Mr. Owusu emphasized that apathy had been a major contributing factor to their electoral misfortune, as many party faithful chose to stay home on voting day.
However, he was quick to add that the cloud of disunity had been lifted, and the party was now more united than ever.
He urged members, supporters, and sympathizers of the NPP to embrace unity and avoid personal attacks on fellow patriots, especially as all key executives including those who had contested in the primaries have smoked the peace pipe and pledged collective loyalty to the party’s forward march.
In an impassioned call to action, he charged all NPP supporters to rise and reclaim the political baton from the NDC come the 2028 general elections.
He lambasted the current administration, accusing them of “robbing Peter to pay Paul,” and painted a grim picture of socio-economic conditions in the country. “Even within the halls of Parliament, the reality of hardship is visible,” he lamented.
Adding her voice to the discourse, the First Vice Chairperson of the Mfantseman Constituency, affectionately known as Mama Dee, corroborated the Chairman’s sentiments.
She pointed out that internal bitterness and unresolved grievances were at the heart of their 2024 defeat.
However, she noted that practical steps and well-thought-out strategies have now been put in place to ensure the party never again falls into such a pit.
“It is God who crowns kings,” she declared with conviction, asserting her faith in a victorious return for the NPP in future elections.
She called on the women of the party to rise in strength and solidarity, playing their pivotal roles in the rebuilding process. “Many of our members lost jobs and opportunities due to our own divisions,” she said. “Let us not make the same mistake twice.”
Mama Dee was particularly passionate in her charge to the women of the party, encouraging them to learn from the past and rise as torchbearers of unity and progress.
She reminded supporters that while the NDC may currently rejoice, the NPP has recalibrated, re-strategized, and is poised to return to power.
In sum, the meeting at Manna Heights was not just a political rendezvous but a symbol of transformation, signaling a new era for the Mfantseman NPP. With unity restored, internal conflicts resolved, and a roadmap to recovery laid out, the party looks determined to rise from the ashes of its 2024 defeat and mount a formidable campaign in years ahead.
