Kpone, Residents Of Kubekro No.1, Uk Lament As Robbers Terrorize The Community

Residents of Kubekro No. 1, UK in the Kpone-Katamanso District, have raised strong concerns over the recurring robbery incidents in the community.
The residents specifically mentioned that the perpetrators carry out their operations unhindered, using motorbikes, Guns, and machetes to rob at gunpoint both at dawn and at night hours.
The residents believe the deplorable state of their roads is contributing to the high rise of robbery activities in the area, saying the recent disturbances of robbers have put fear in them.
They are therefore appealing to the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Christian Tetteh Yehuno, to help with police patrol in the area, and also calling on the government to help fix their roads.

A member of the Community Development Group, Justice Krampah, said those heading to work at dawn and returning home at night are soft targets for the robbers; he said the situation is disturbing as cases of robbery and landguard activities have increased for some days now.
He further appealed to the government to help fix the deplorable state of their roads, as he believed the poor state of the roads had contributed to the high rise of robbery activities in the area.
