An Emergency Call For Residents At Amoaku And Its Environs

Residents living in Amoaku and towns beyond needs an immediate solution towards their collapsed bridged which occurred last year.

A truck loaded with cocoa used the bridge but it’s strength couldn’t sustain the weight of the cocoa which ended up collapsing.

Hon. Eric Afful, the Member of Parliament for Amenfi West upon getting a temporal solution for his constituents brought a contractor, Samuel Ofori Larbi(Asabea Construction Firm) to the affected place.

A covert was constructed which was to last for Six months until a permanent solution is provided.

In barely Two months, the covert has been washed away during this month’s raining season.

The state of the heavy flow of the Samre river has made leaders brought a canoe to lessen the burden of residents living beyond Amoaku.

Reports indicates that sailing on the river to the other side is not smooth as expected.

Yesterday, some people sailing across nearly drowned and same has happened twice as at Wednesday(June 18, 2025) in the morning.

Residents of Amoaku and it’s environs are bitterly lamenting.

Their grievances is why the same contractor, Asabea Construction Firm has been assigned to provide solutions to their problem.

Thus, he is the same person that has caused them to be stranded due to his handiwork.

Commuters of the place are pleading to the government and every institution that can help them get a permanent solution.
