Farmers Of Agona Kwesi Twikrom Protest Against Impending Grading Of Ccrops By Land Guards

Chiefs and Farmers of Agona Kwesi Twi-krom community popularly known as KTK, has protested against impending grading of their crops by a group of land guards from Agona Asafo.

Agona Kwesi Twi-krom is a farming community in the Agona East District of the Central Region with a population of over 1,000, but their livelihood is in limbo after a group of people allegedly connieved with landguards and sold over 250 acres of farm lands to private developer to cultivate pineapple without any court order.

Addressing the media during a protest, the farmers revealed that their lives and their only source of income are in danger.

The angry farmers called on the Government, IGP and Agric minister to come to their aid. otherwise, hunger will kill them

Meanwhile, chief of Agona Kwesi Twi-krom community, Nana Kwesi Twii v said, the said land guards have threatened to burn his palace if he tried to stop them from destroying their crops .

Nana Kwesi Twi-krom called on IGP to come to their aid because they perpetrators have threatened to cime and destroy their crops tomorrow .
