Woman Narrowly Escapes Death After Boyfriend Pours Acid On Her Belongings

A disturbing incident occurred in the New Nkusukum Electra area of Mankessimin the Mfantseman Municipality of central region, where a young woman named Grace Emefa narrowly escaped death after her boyfriend, Tony Nana Baji, allegedly poured acid on her clothes and other items in her room.
According to reports, the incident happened around 6:30 pm after Grace returned home from work to find her door open and her belongings damaged.
It is believed that Tony’s actions were a reaction to Grace’s decision to end their five-year relationship, despite her parents being aware of it.
The assembly member for the area, Hon. Ali Abubakari Soring, confirmed the incident and reported it to the Mankessim police station. Unfortunately, Tony remains at large.
Hon. Ali used this opportunity to advise the community to focus on their lives and not make relationships a central part of their identity, encouraging them to find employment instead.
Finally, the boyfriend of Grace Emefa spoke to us on the phone, saying all these allegations are false because he has been playing with her, always joking that if he ends up with her for a different man, he will kill her, and the girl also said the same thing to him as they play.
He even came there last 3 weeks ago, so he wondered why this happened to her, referring to him as if he has done that.
He narrated a lot of these issues and claimed they haven’t broken up, even stating that their family has received bride price from him.
