A swarm of bees attacked residents of Kwaadwamena in the Asante Akyem North Municipality of the Ashanti Region on Wednesday morning, killing livestock and injuring persons.
In an interview with some of the residents they revealed that the bees have been there since creation and have not in any way caused harm to the residents, however, it’s unclear what triggered their sudden aggression.
The incident has sparked concern among locals, who are calling for immediate action to prevent further attacks.
Meanwhile, when the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) was contacted, they noted that, they lack equipment to fumigate the town.
The situation has created fear and panic and has led to the fleeing of all the people from the village to seek for a safe haven.
However, the NADMO Director for Asante Akyem North municipal, Hon. Eric Boateng has been speaking to Sammy Tugah on Anopa Bosuo alerting the public measures they have put incident.
