Robbery Victim Recounts Harrowing Escape After Surviving 8 Pump-Action Gunshots

Kwabena Amos, a 37-year-old gold buyer from Assin Ntowkrom, has shared a chilling account of how he miraculously survived eight gunshots during a violent robbery attack in the early hours of Wednesday.
Despite sustaining a severe eye injury after being struck in the face with a gun barrel,
Mr. Amos said none of the bullets fired directly at him penetrated his body. He credited his survival to a form of spiritual fortification passed down by his father, which he believes offers protection against gunshots and cutlass attacks.
His younger brother, Richard Kumah, 33, who was also targeted, recounted a similar experience, saying a bullet aimed at him failed to cause any harm further deepening their belief in their family’s spiritual defense.
The terrifying incident occurred around 1:00 a.m. when five armed robbers stormed their residence.
Armed with a three-barrelled pump-action gun and machetes, the robbers fired multiple rounds and launched a brutal assault.
In a dramatic twist, the victims fought back fiercely and managed to overpower the attackers, seizing one of the pump-action guns in the process.
Their resistance, combined with the swift arrival of the Assin Fosu Police, led to the arrest of three suspects after a brief exchange of gunfire.
Police investigations are ongoing to apprehend the remaining suspects.
