Bawku Conflict Asantehene’s Intervention Brings Hope Of Peace – Kusasi Lawyer Reveals
The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has met with the Kusasi Traditional Council, sparking optimism that the protracted chieftaincy conflict in Bawku may soon come to an end.
Lawyer Maxwell Agbambilla, the lawyer for the Kusasi Traditional Council, expressed hope that peace is on the horizon, citing Asantehene’s wisdom and leadership.
During the meeting, six sub-chiefs confirmed their allegiance to the Kusasi Traditional Council, a significant development in the quest for peace.
Asantehene’s intervention is seen as a crucial step towards resolving the dispute.
The people of Bawku and its environs are eagerly awaiting a peaceful resolution, and the Asantehene’s efforts have brought renewed hope.
The lawyer noted, “We just want to live in peace and harmony, without fear of violence or intimidation.”
Moreover, Agbambilla appealed to the youth of Kusasi to remain calm, assuring them that the Asantehene will ensure peace prevails.
