Assembly members from 18 electoral areas in Effutu Municipality have today expressed their displeasure and threatened to clashed NDC supporters following assault on assembly members and unlawful possession and takeover of public toilet and other properties.
If we recall, it was reported that, NDC thugs in Effutu on Monday attacked assembly members in Effutu with deadly weapons requesting for public toilet keys which some of the assembly members were wounded.
In a press conference today at NPP party office in Effutu, the 18 assembly members together with Party executives have expressed their disappointment in Effutu police commander for failing to react upon numerous report made at the police station.
Hon William De-Carthia the leader of Effutu Assembly Members has expressed his disappointment over how the police in Effutu have failed to react upon several report on how the NDC supporters are assaulting and attacking the assembly members.
He has therefore charged the assembly members to protect themselves since the police have failed to protect them from assault and attacks from NDC supporters.
Meanwhile, the Communications Director for Effutu NPP, Ellis Kwame Otabil has said the NPP the Municipal Chief Executive Effutu Hon. Rev Atta Mensah has failed to answer any calls from NPP party Executives concerning the attacks on the assembly Members and unlawful possession of properties.
He has informed NPP party supporters in Effutu to be ready and react if NDC supporters continue with the attack and unlawful possession of public properties since the police has failed to protect they are lives.
