Alleged Bono NPP Party Car Theft Police Releases Vehicle To Former Communication Director

The former Bono Regional NPP Communication Director, Asare Bediako Seth (ABS), has been vindicated in an alleged car theft case.
Gabriel Korang Ababio, the current Bono Regional NPP Communication Director, had accused Asare Bediako Seth of stealing a vehicle belonging to the NPP party in the Bono Region.
The regional communication director, Gabriel Korang Ababio, petitioned the Bono Regional police command to effect the arrest of his predecessor, leading to an investigation by the criminal investigations department of the Ghana Police service in the region.
However, police investigations revealed that the complainant, Gabriel Korang Ababio, who made the official complaint on behalf of the Bono NPP, had produced forged documents.
The Bono CID on Wednesday, ordered the release of the said vehicle, a Galloper with registration number GS-4259-20, after investigations at the Diver Vehicle and Licences Authority and the Customs Division revealed the car was registered in the name of YBA Transport Enterprise, a private entity, contrary to the party’s claims.
ABS’s counsel, Lawyer Bright Apraku in an exclusive interview with Kaakyire Kwasi Afari of Sunyani-based Ark fm, said the release of the vehicle followes the complainant, Gabriel Korang Ababio, failed to prove the alleged party car theft case.
Bright Apraku confirmed his client’s vindication and will seek his consent on pursuing defamation and forgery charges against the complainants.
ABS described the NPP leadership in the Bono Region as incompetent for their fewer concerns in addressing internal party issues.
Mr. Asare Bediako Seth called on the national leadership to take action against the Regional Chairman Kwame Bafoe (Abronye), whom he accused of instigating the matter.
Asare Bediako Seth recently criticised the Bono Regional chairman, Mr. Kwame Bafoe for sidelining the majority of regional executives with a divide and rule approach in his tenure.
He said this leadership style by the chairman created uncertainty going into the 2024 general elections.
ABS believes the New Patriotic Party in the region has no positive story to tell its followers and floating voters, citing the abysmal outcome of the Presidential and Parliamentary election results to back his claims.
According to the former Bono Regional NPP communication director, leadership crisis remains a major contributing factor causing the misfortunes of the New Patriotic Party in the Bono Region.
