The Presiding Member for Akuapim North Municipality in the Eastern Region, *Aseidu Offei* popular known as No Size has called on Ghanaians to support former President John Mahama’s 24-hour economy policy which has the potential to stimulate economic growth, create jobs, and improve the overall development of the country.
Speaking to the Media in an interview noted that the 24-hour economy policy would enable businesses to operate around the clock, increasing productivity and competitiveness.
This, in turn, would attract investments, create employment opportunities, and boost economic growth.
According to him, Ghanaians should thank and applaud the president for such initiative to create employment opportunities for Ghanaians.
Adding to it, he further urged Ghanaians not to focus solely on the cost involved in implementing the 24hr economy policy, instead he encouraged citizens to consider the long term benefits that the policy will bring.
“Let us not repeat the mistakes of the past when Dr Kwame Nkrumah embarked on the Akosombo Dam project which many Ghanaians questioned its benefits but today we reap the benefits to different countries ” he stated.
