Mfantseman MP Applauds Hon. Gilbert Adjei And GWCL For Addressing Water Crisis

The Member of Parliament for Mfantseman Constituency, Hon. Ebenezer Prince Arhin, has commended the Minister for Works, Housing, and Water Resources, Hon. Kenneth Gilbert Adjei, and the Management of the Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL) for their efforts to tackle the water crisis in the Mfantseman Municipality.
The area has been experiencing severe water shortages for over five months, affecting hospitals, households, schools, and businesses.
The MP expressed his appreciation for the renewed commitment to improving water supply in the area, stating that the measures will bring much-needed relief to the communities.
Hon. Gilbert Adjei minister for works housing and water resources also reiterated the government’s commitment to ensuring sustainable water supply across the country.
The Omanhen of Mankessim Traditional Council has also urged the government to drill boreholes to support the Baifikrom Dam, citing examples from Bogoso and Prestea in the Western Region. Drilling boreholes is expected to help solve the water crisis drastically during the dry season.
