NingoI Paramount Chief DismissesI Igbo Land Purchase Claims, Seeks Governent Interventon

The Paramount Chief of Ningo Traditional Area, Nene Osroagbo Djangmah XII, held a press conference to address concerns about an Igbo chief allegedly purchasing 50 acres of land in their jurisdiction.

The Paramount Chief clarified that after consulting with their 72 villages, none of them confirmed selling such land.

Denial of Land Sale The Paramount Chief categorically denied the sale of 50 acres of land to the Igbo chief, emphasizing that their villages have not authorized any such transaction.

Request for Government Intervention Nene Osroagbo Djangmah XII appealed to the Interior Minister and relevant authorities to advise the Igbo king accordingly, stressing that building a kingdom in Ghana, let alone Ningo Traditional Area, is not feasible.

Customary Land Ownership The Paramount Chief highlighted the importance of respecting customary land ownership and the traditional processes involved in land transactions.
