<p>Local Accountability Network &lpar;LANET&rpar;&comma; an auxiliary of Ghana Anti-Corruption Coalition&comma; in conjunction with Codesult Focal Organization&comma; held a forum at Otoo Memorial School&lpar; Bibiani&rpar; and Kwamekrom JHS&comma; respectively&comma; to commemorate African Union Anti-Corruption Day &lpar;AUACD&rpar;&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><img class&equals;"alignnone size-medium wp-image-10673" src&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;abmonlinegh&period;com&sol;wp-content&sol;uploads&sol;2025&sol;07&sol;IMG-20250712-WA0009-300x225&period;jpg" alt&equals;"" width&equals;"300" height&equals;"225" &sol;><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>In his opening remarks&comma; Mr&period; John Ntori&comma; a focal person of the organization&comma; reiterated that the African Union Anti-corruption Day is observed annually on July 11&comma; to promote transparency&comma; accountability&comma; and reaffirm commitment to the Union&&num;8217&semi;s Convention on preventing and combating corruption&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><img class&equals;"alignnone size-medium wp-image-10674" src&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;abmonlinegh&period;com&sol;wp-content&sol;uploads&sol;2025&sol;07&sol;IMG-20250712-WA0018-300x232&period;jpg" alt&equals;"" width&equals;"300" height&equals;"232" &sol;><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>He continued that in Ghana&comma; anti-corruption agencies like the Ghana Anti-Corruption Coalition &lpar;GACC&rpar; observe the day through public education and community engagement by empowering young people to take action against corruption in their schools&comma; Ntori bemoaned that the youth are among the hardest hit by corruption in Ghana&period; &&num;8220&semi;This practice limits their access to education&comma; job opportunities&comma; and fair public services&comma;&&num;8221&semi; he maintained&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The Ghana Anti-Corruption Coalition was lauded for sensitizing a considerable number of people through its local Accountability Networks in 2024&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><img class&equals;"alignnone size-medium wp-image-10676" src&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;abmonlinegh&period;com&sol;wp-content&sol;uploads&sol;2025&sol;07&sol;IMG-20250712-WA0010-225x300&period;jpg" alt&equals;"" width&equals;"225" height&equals;"300" &sol;><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>He disclosed that this year&comma; Mr&period; Eric Ntiamoah Boateng&comma; the Municipal Director for the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice &lpar;CHRAJ&rpar; facilitated the programme through participatory and interactive techniques&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><img class&equals;"alignnone size-medium wp-image-10678" src&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;abmonlinegh&period;com&sol;wp-content&sol;uploads&sol;2025&sol;07&sol;IMG-20250712-WA0020-300x232&period;jpg" alt&equals;"" width&equals;"300" height&equals;"232" &sol;><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>He walked the participants through the meaning and types of corruption and the essence of fighting corruption&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Other essential topics discussed were Whistleblowing&comma;
