Kwadaso MCE Denies Regain Onion Sellers Association Land

The Kwadaso Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Eric Assebey, has cautioned the Kwadaso Onion Sellers Association to vacate the land they occupy, insisting it belongs to the assembly.

He disputes claims that Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene, has allocated the land to the onion sellers, stating that without official confirmation from the royal majesty, such assertions are mere tricks to seize municipal land.

Hon. Assebey emphasized that the assembly will not allow the onion sellers to take over the land without proper authorization.

He urged them to evacuate the land immediately to avoid conflict, warning that they will face the law if they fail to comply.

It will be recalled that, early this week the Onion sellers move to the land claiming that the Asantehene has given the land to them, with the onion sellers association expressing gratitude to Otumfuo Osei Tutu II for supposedly granting them the land.

However, Hon. Assebey maintains that he is unaware of any such allocation and insists that the onion sellers are using the royal majesty’s name to pursue their own agenda.
