Nsuta NDC Women Organizers Appeal To Mahama Over Controversial School Feeding Contract

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Tarkwa-Nsuaem Constituency Women Organizers from the Nsuta Branch have issued a passionate appeal to former President John Dramani Mahama to intervene in what they describe as an unfair allocation of the School Feeding Program contract in their area.

Led by Branch Coordinator Rev. John Ofori during a media engagement, the group also called on Member of Parliament for Tarkwa-Nsuaem, Hon. Issah Salifu Taylor, and the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Ebenezer Cobbinnah, to take immediate action.

According to the group, it is alleged that Madam Gladys Egyir, the Western Regional Women’s Organizer and Coordinator of the School Feeding Program, has handed over the Nsuta Roman Catholic Basic Schools feeding contract to one Mrs. Agnes Appiah—a close associate of Madam Egyir.

“We, the NDC Nsuta Branch Executives, do not know Madam Agnes Appiah. We are calling on His Excellency the President, our MP, and MCE to come to our aid and ensure the contract is given to a well-deserving party member.

If our concerns are ignored, we will withdraw our support and participation in all party activities ahead of the next elections,” the statement warned.

Other polling station women organizers also had this to say
