Peacemaker Palm Divided Into Two At Patakro

A 33-year-old man, Yaw Frank, sustained a severe injury to his palm after he was slashed with a machete while trying to break up a fight at Patakro, a community in the Adansi North District of the Ashanti Region.
The violent incident occurred during an altercation between a 14-year-old boy and a 26 Man identified as Desmond Amatey, well known as Paa Yaw.
According to Yaw Frank, a victim who spoke to ABN’s Chukwu Joseph intervened in the scuffle to prevent it from escalating, but in the process, Amatey allegedly aiming to strike the teenager accidentally wounded the peacemaker instead.
The machete is reported to have sliced Frank’s palm, leaving it split in two.
Further reports indicate that the confrontation began after the minor allegedly took Amatey’s work gear without his consent.
What started as a verbal exchange quickly turned into a physical fight, ending in the machete attack.
