Ghana Police Crack Down On Counterfeit Mosquito Insecticides In Kumasi

The Ashanti Regional Police Command has arrested Charity Boakyewwa, 30 and Jacob Abeka,60 years for allegedly selling counterfeit mosquito insecticides in Kumasi.
The arrests were made during a joint operation with the management of Evergreen Chemics Limited, a reputable sole imported sales insecticides company.
According to ASP Gordon Ahiango, the police received intelligence about suspected individuals selling fake mosquito insecticides and launched an operation that led to the apprehension of two suspects at Tech Junction and Adum in Kumasi.
The suspects will face charges in court for selling counterfeit products.
ASP Ahiango assured the public that the police will work closely with Evergreen Chemics Limited to ensure that those involved in such activities are brought to justice.
Mr. Samuel Donkor, Sales Personnel for Evergreen Chemics Limited, urged the public to be vigilant and cautious when purchasing mosquito insecticides.
He emphasized the importance of buying products from authorized dealers to avoid counterfeit goods.
