Market Day Horror Woman Flees With 11 Baby In Broad Daylight At Ajumako Market

An unidentified woman, believed to be in her fifties, has been recorded by CCTV cameras fleeing with a stolen child during market day at Ajumako in the Ajumako Enyan Essiam District, Central Region.

The CCTV footage from the market center shows the woman absconding with the infant, whom she abducted from the child’s mother while she was selling cassava at the market.

According to report, the mother of the abducted child, Esi Sekyiwa, stated that she is from Ajumako Essaman and had gone to the Ajumako market to sell cassava, as she usually does.

Amidst the heat of the day, she entrusted the 11-month-old child to her sister-in-law, when a woman present in the market approached them, offering assistance with the child so that she could attend to her business.

According to the mother, the suspect sat with them for over an hour, leading her to believe the woman harbored no malicious intent.

Before she realized it, the suspected woman had disappeared.

She inquired of those nearby, but they also claimed they had not seen where the suspect had gone.

The mother attempted to trace the suspect but was unsuccessful.

Unfortunately, upon reviewing the CCTV footage at the market center, the woman was seen fleeing with the child.

Overcome with grief, the mother has appealed to the police and relevant authorities to aid her in locating the innocent child.

Furthermore, some family members of the missing child have also requested assistance from the police service in recovering the child.

They suspect that the woman had premeditated intentions to abduct the child.

Concerns arise as to whether the child may be used for rituals or sold.

They suspect that the woman may be within the areas of Winneba, Apam, Mankessim, or the Kasoa enclave.

The incident has been officially reported to the Ajumako District Police Command for further ininvestigation.
