We Are Not Involed In Illegal Mining- Lotus Mining Group

Lotus Mining Group, a mining company operating at Akyem Nanapa in the Atiwa West District has denied claims by residents of their host community that they are involved in illegal mining activities, saying they are operating within the remits of the law.

Thomas Larbi, CEO of Lotus Groups Mining, has responded to the concerns raised by the chiefs and residents of the Nanapa community regarding the impact of illegal mining activities.

He appealed for calm and outlined plans to support the community, particularly farmers, by Lotus Groups Mining intends to build roads to facilitate the transportation of farm products, addressing one of the challenges caused by galamsey activities.

Thomas Larbi highlighted previous projects undertaken by his company in the community and mentioned accounts opened for community development.

Some opinion leaders in Nanapa have also urged community members, especially farmers, to exercise patience, assuring them that efforts are being made to bring peace to the community.

They emphasized collaboration to address the challenges posed by galamsey.
