Recently mining activities has caused a lot of problems to communities in and around mining areas destruction of houses water bodies, houses, properties, farms and many more.

With vain promises of most of the mining companies to the community enrich with minerals, Brahabebome which is in the Tarkwa-Nsuem Municipal is not an exception.

Quite Recently Goldfields Tarkwa Mines who mined some years back with promises of resettlement of dwellers near the mining areas where the BLASTING and other mining activities will affect them, but they did not fulfill that promise which made the community members to rise on them and stop their mining and Blasting activities.

Just recently the same company has returned to re-mine again still not fulfilling their promise of resettlement.

In respect to the community has engaged the media sharing the sentiment and displeasure of the return of the Mining Company especially their RESETTLEMENT issues and are saying that they are giving GOLD FIELDS TARKWA MINES one month to resettle them or they will take the laws into their own hands
