Akwatia By-Election NDC Members Switch Allegiance To NPP

Akwatia, in a shocking turn of events, some members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Akwatia have declared their support for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) candidate, Solomon Asumadu, ahead of the upcoming by-election.
The decision comes after the NDC’s internal primary election, which saw Bernard Bediako Baidoo emerge as the party’s candidate.
However, some NDC members have expressed dissatisfaction with the outcome, citing concerns over the selection process.
They are disappointed in the way the primary was conducted, and they feel that their preferred candidate was unfairly passed over, said a disgruntled NDC member, who wished to remain anonymous.
As a result, they have decided to throw their support behind Solomon Asumadu, the NPP candidate, in the upcoming by-election.”
This unexpected move is likely to shake up the dynamics of the by-election, with the NPP potentially gaining an advantage in the constituency.
The NDC, on the other hand, faces the challenge of reconciling its internal differences and winning back the trust of its disaffected members.
