Gun Shot At Mining Community 3 Enjury One In Critical Condition

There’s a gun short at a community called Saaman in the Fanteakwa South District of the Eastern Region.

According to the youth a mining firm called kibi Goaldfeild,Currently have large concertion in the community.

According to the youth kibi Goadfieds has been polluted and diverted their only river called (Akusu River) that’s only thier source of water,after engage the management of the kibi Goaldfieds to stop polluting there water,they called about 100 military men to come to the community and started firing gun shorts gun due to that the bullet hit 3 people one lady is critical condition and transfer to koforidua government hospital others has been discharge.

The youth are appealing to government to come and sack this soldiers and help them to protect their Akusu river which is the only source of water server about 50 community.

This kibi Goaldfieds mining firm has been destroying thier land and engaging iligal galamsey activities.

Meanwhile the chief of Akyem saaman community Barima Ofori Nyarko also spoke to the media and said he has been calling and wrote series of letters to the kibi Goaldfieds mining company to meet them but they said the won’t come due to that he in planing to sack them from the community.
