Volta River Aviation Helicopter Makes Emergency Landing At Nkawkaw

A Volta River Aviation helicopter with registration number 9G-AFW was forced to make an emergency landing at Nkawkaw earlier today.

The helicopter, which was enroute en route to Kumasi from Accra forced it to land due to harsh weather conditions that made visibility difficult.

There were 5 occupants; 2 Ghanaians including the pilot, and 3 white men.
Attempts to get any of them comment was unsuccessful.

Eyewitnesses say it landed around 9:45am and took off exactly 11:20am.

The incident has drew significant attention.
