Traditional Leaders Call On IGP To Beef Up Security To Avoid Bloody Clash Ahead Of Senya Breku Festival

Nananom of Senya Breku in the Awutu Senya West District of Central Region have raised alarm over possible bloody clash in their upcoming Senya Akumase festival following Chieftancy dispute between two royal families in Senya Breku.
According to Nananom, it would be prudent for the government and security agencies to beef up security before and during the upcoming Akumase festival to avoid any blood shed in the community since tension begins to heightening.
In a press conference, the Leader of two Asafo Company, Okyeame Kofi Annan speaking on behalf of Nananom has urged Chieftancy Minister, government and the security agencies to address the incident to avoid any possible clash in the festival.
Meanwhile, some traditional leaders in Senya Bereku have also urged the government and the security agencies to help bring lasting peace in Senya Bereku.
Also, they have urged the residents and indigens of Senya Bereku who would be coming to this year’s Akumase festival to not involve themselves in any conflict to help witness peaceful celebration.
