Death Trap Twifu Praso To Dunkwa Road Leaves Residents In Despair”

The Twifu Praso to Dunkwa road, particularly the stretch from Mampoma to Dunkwa, has become a death trap for residents and travelers alike.
The deplorable state of the road has been a source of frustration for the people of Mampoma Township, who claim that the road was awarded to Mawus Construction Limited about five years ago by the previous government.
Although some work was done on the road, including excavation and filling, the project seems to have stalled at the final stage.
The contractor failed to apply the crucial final layer of asphalt, leaving the road with exposed manholes that pose a significant risk to safety.
The Assemblyman for Mampoma Town, Hon. Oduro, has expressed deep concern about the situation, highlighting the dangers posed by the manholes on the road.
According to him, accidents occur daily due to the poor state of the road, and it’s imperative that something is done urgently.
One resident, who wishes to remain anonymous, has been severely affected by the road construction.
During the project, the road level was raised, turning his house into a marshy area.
As a result, he can no longer sleep in his own home and has been forced to rent a place elsewhere.
This situation is not only painful but also a clear indication of the neglect and abandonment of the project.
The people of Twifo Mampoma are lamenting the state of their road and appealing to the authorities to intervene.
They are pleading for the completion of the outstanding works, particularly the filling of the manholes, which are causing accidents daily.
The residents are hopeful that their voices will be heard and that the road will be fixed to prevent further suffering.
In a heartfelt appeal, Hon. Oduro has called on the authorities to take immediate action to address the situation.
He emphasized that the people of Mampoma Township are tired of waiting and are eager to see the completion of the road project.
The residents are counting on the government’s intervention to bring relief and improve their lives.
