A 45-year-old farmer, Samuel Abanga has been tragically shot dead by suspected armed robbers at a farming community in the Atwima Mponua District.

According to an eyewitness, Clinton Manu, the robbers have been operating in the stretch often.

Manu recounted his own encounter at the scene, explaining that when the robbers attempted to stop him, he made a daring escape on his motorbike, narrowly avoiding harm.

The wife of the deceased, Hawa Mohammed, shared her grief, revealing she was at home waiting for her husband’s return when she received the devastating news of his death at the hands of the suspected robbers.

Residents of Pamuruso expressed growing concerns about recurring robberies in the area, noting that this was not an isolated incident.

They have urgently appealed to the Ghana Police Service to establish checkpoints and increase security measures to prevent further attacks and ensure the safety of the community.
