Ghana’s Education Curriculum Under Review To Introduce STEM Education At The Bsic Level… Education Minister Hints

The Minister of Education, Hon. Haruna Iddrisu, has hinted at a potential review of Ghana’s Basic Education curriculum to incorporate technology-based learning.

The proposed changes aim to equip the younger generation with essential skills in robotics, electronics, artificial intelligence, coding, and engineering.

Speaking to Angel news after a courtesy call from students of Young Executive and Onua Francis International School, who had just returned from an educational tour in Malaysia, Minister Iddrisu emphasized the importance of exposing Ghanaian children to international best practices.

He reiterated the government’s commitment to improving the education system.

The Director of Onua Francis and Young Executive School, Dr. Francis Essel Okyeahene, highlighted the school’s focus on STEM education.

However, he expressed concerns about the availability of qualified human resources to support this initiative.
