Kojo Boni Community In Dire Need Of Safe Drinking Water

Residents of Kojo Boni in Ghana’s Northern Region are crying out for urgent government and NGO intervention to address their severe water crisis.
The community’s struggle to access clean drinking water has left them vulnerable to waterborne diseases.
Residents described the daily struggle to secure clean water, saying, “We have children and elderly people here who constantly fall sick because of the water we are forced to drink.
” Women and children walk over 5km to fetch water from neighboring villages, affecting school attendance and productivity.
The community is calling on government agencies, private sector organizations, and philanthropic individuals to provide a sustainable source of clean water, emphasizing that access to potable water is a basic human right, not a privilege.
Chiefs and elders have confirmed the challenges and are seeking a mechanized borehole or small water system to serve the residents.
