Sepenukope Basic School’s Desperate Plea For Help

A recent windstorm has left Sepenukope Basic School in Aflao in a state of disrepair, with classrooms rendered unusable due to damage to the roofing.

Despite an allocation of GHC 100,000 by the Municipal Assembly for rehabilitation, no work has commenced.

According to Headmaster Mr. Agbowada Paul, the storm ripped off aluminum zinc from the school block, disrupting learning and teaching.

Students are currently forced to learn under trees.

While some zinc donations have been received, they are insufficient for long-term use.

The school has managed to cover two rooms with donated funds, but four more require roofing.

Temporary measures have been taken to stabilize the remaining rooms.

The school is seeking support from stakeholders, including the assembly member and potential supporters, to facilitate repairs and provide a safe learning environment.

Efforts are underway to secure additional funding to complete the rehabilitation work.

Stakeholders are urged to support the school’s efforts to restore a conducive learning environment for its students.
