The project is being undertaken by Classic Cristken Limited, a Ghanaian construction firm.

While applauding the Gold Fields Foundation, Hon. Ayeh also made a passionate appeal for the construction of the Awuduah–Prestea road, describing it as the “heartbeat of the municipality.

” He lamented that the poor state of the road has negatively affected mobility and economic activities, stressing the need for urgent intervention.

The Executive Secretary of the Gold Fields Ghana Foundation, Mr. Abdel Razak, in an interview with our reporter Nana Fynn, explained the scope of work and noted that road construction in Ghana is costly due to the numerous streams encountered.

He disclosed that the Foundation has approved about GH¢63 million for the construction of the Samahu–Pepesa road.

The Chief of Huniso, Nana Nvida, also applauded the Gold Fields Foundation for its numerous infrastructure interventions.

He expressed optimism that upon completion of the road project in two years, transportation and daily activities within the area would greatly improve.
