Berekum East Pragyea Rider Shot Dead In Sofokyere
A 24-year-old Pragia rider, Bernard, popularly known as Critical, has been shot and killed by unknown attackers in Sofokyere, a suburb of Berekum in the Bono Region.
The incident occurred around 12:30 am yesterday while Bernard was working with M-25-BR(314) green Tricyle.
According to reports, Bernard picked up the attackers as they told him they want to go to sofokyere where they allegedly shot him and fled the scene.
As the Residents in the area heard a gunshot and rushed to the scene, finding Bernard with severe head injuries. They immediately informed the police.
The Assembly Member for Sofokyere, Hon. Aful Isaac, disclosed that Bernard is from Biadan, a suburb of Berekum Municipal and This incident marks the third time such attack has taking place in the area, causing fear and panic among residents and Pragia riders in berekum east
The Chairman of the National Union of Tricycles of Ghana (NUTOG), Mr. Appiah Ramson, has expressed concern over attacks on pragia riders in berekum east and they believe the police will investigate and protect riders from these criminal activities.
The body of the pragia rider has been deposited at the Holy family Catholic Hospital mortuary for further investigations.
