Six Suspects Escaped From Lawful Custody In The Central Region

The Central Regional Police Command has begun a manhunt for six suspects who escaped lawful custody at Kotokuraba police station in the Central Region.

On Sept. 11, 2025, about 9:00 pm, the Central Regional Police Command received information through the District Police Commander that six out of eight suspects, namely; Kofi Asifuah, Ernest Kojo, Ekow Arhinful, Toffic Faisal, Henry Kwofie and Innusah Addai, who were arrested for various criminal offences had escaped.

That, on the same day about 8:40 pm, the supervising inspector at the Kotokuraba police station sent the station orderly to buy food for the inmates as they complained of hunger, and they later asked for water to flush the WC as the taps were not flowing.

In the process of opening the cells’ door to give the inmates water, six out of the eight suspects overpowered the inspector and ran away.

The District Commander upon the receipt of the information led the night patrol team in search of the suspects but to no avail.

The Central Regional Police Command requests that the general public help with any credible information that will lead to the recapture of the six suspects.

The command can be contacted through 18555 and 0299205854 or can report to the nearest police station.

End.
