Land Guards Invade Gomoa Akraman, Chiefs, Residents Calls On IGP To Avoid Bloods

Chiefs and Residents of Gomoa Akraman in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region are very angry and calling IGP to come to their aid after a group of land guards with weapons invaded the community and destroys community cemetery,farms and buildings.
Gomoa Akramang is a farming community with the population of over 2,000 but land Guards have taken over the community, terrorising residents, destroying their farms while part of the community cemetery has been also destroyed.
Addressing a press conference, the angry residents revealed that, these land Guards led by one Rahman have destroyed all their crops through sand winning and also selling their lands to estate developers
The residents says, these land guards have been also winning sand behind the community school and the chp compound which has become treats to pupils, and heath worker’s in the community.
Meanwhile Chief of Gomoa Akraman Nana Kwame Appiah v also said several complaints have been made to the Central East Regional Police Command, IGP, interior minister but nothing has been done to arrest these land guards despite a court injunction on the said land.
Nana Kwame Appiah said, President and all the security agencies should not blame them if the situation escalate.
Furthermore, committee secretary of Gomoa Akraman Daniel Odoom said, the situation is getting out of hand and they are finding it’s difficult to bury dead bodies because their cemetery has been destroyed.
