MP Kwainoe Leads Change Ekumfi’s District Police Station Underway

MP for Ekumfi Constituency Cuts Sod for First-Ever District Police Station
In a historic move, the Member of Parliament for the Ekumfi Constituency, Hon. Dr. Othe, niel Ekow Kwainoe, has cut sod for the construction of the first-ever District Police Station in the Ekumfi District of the Central Region.

This milestone marks a significant step forward in addressing security challenges in the area and fulfilling a long-standing campaign promise to the people of Ekumfi.

Hon. Kwainoe highlighted that the decision to construct the police station was driven by the need to eliminate the burden of traveling to Mankessim for police services.

For years, residents of Ekumfi had to endure long journeys to resolve even minor cases, a situation that deeply troubled the MP.

He assured the community that this project is just the beginning, as plans for a mo circuit court, district hospital, and other key infrastructure are also in the pipeline.

His vision is to transform Ekumfi into a vibrant community comparable to other commercial towns and cities.

The Divisional Police Commander, ACP. Samuel expressed his gratitude to the MP and the District Chief Executive (DCE) for their efforts.

He emphasized the importance of completing the project, urging the stakeholders to provide police barracks alongside the station to ensure officers can reside in the community and efficiently handle cases.

Mr. Samuel reassured the people of Ekumfi that even while the project is underway, measures will be taken to ensure security in the area.

Traditional Leaders Back the Initiative
Representing the Paramount Chief of the Ekumfi Traditional Council, the Bekumhen, Odeefo Akyen VIII, commended the MP’s efforts and called on the community to support his initiatives.

He cautioned against sabotaging the project, urging everyone to encourage the MP to deliver on his promises.

The Bekumhen also advised Hon. Kwainoe to monitor the progress of the project closely to prevent it from being abandoned midway, as has been the case with some past initiatives.

Hope for the Future, the chiefs and people of Ekumfi have expressed optimism about the project, noting that it will bring significant relief to the community by addressing their security concerns.

The sod-cutting ceremony is a beacon of hope for the constituency, signaling the start of broader development efforts aimed at improving the stand of living in Ekumfi.

With this bold step, Hon. Kwainoe has demonstrated his commitment to his constituents and his vision for a safer, more developed Ekumfi.

The community is rallying behind him, hopeful that this initiative will not only enhance security.
