Immigration Officers Rescue Young Lady From Assault At Wassa Asikuma

A young woman identified as Fearing Ive Blessing has been rescued at Wassa Asikuma in the Amenfi East Municipality of the Western Region after she was allegedly assaulted by a woman believed to be running a sex work operation.
According to reports, Blessing informed her madam that she no longer wanted to continue in the trade.
This decision, however, angered the madam, who allegedly inserted pieces of paper into her private parts, mouth, and other parts of her body before physically attacking her.
An eyewitness, Obaa Yaa,speaking with Angel fm and Angel tv Reporter AGYEMFRA Bright Kofi confirmed t incident and described the scene as heartbreaking
“The girl said she didn’t want to do the work again, but the madam became very angry and started beating her. She forced paper into her body.
We were all shocked and helpless until the Immigration officers came to rescue her,” Obaa Yaa recounted.
Officers from the Ghana Immigration Service swiftly intervened and rescued Blessing from further abuse.
During the operation, some of the madam’s close associates were also arrested to assist with investigations.
The victim has since been taken to a health facility for medical treatment and psychological support.
Authorities have handed the case over to the police for further investigations and possible prosecution.
The incident has sparked outrage in Wassa Asikuma, with residents condemning the inhumane act and calling for swift justice.
Community members are also appealing to the Amenfi East Municipal Assembly and security agencies to intensify efforts in protecting vulnerable young women from exploitation and abuse.
