15 Perish In Krachi West Canoe Tragedy

A heartbreaking tragedy has struck the Oti Region, as 15 people lost their lives in a canoe accident in the Krachi West District.

The victims, who were sympathizers en route from Okuma to Debume for a funeral on Saturday, October 11, 2025, met their untimely deaths when their canoe capsized.

The incident has plunged the region into mourning, as families and communities grapple with the loss of their loved ones.
