Residents Of Bantama Live In Fear Amidst Rampant Armed Robberies And Violent Crime

The residents of Bantama, in the Bantama sub Metro of the Ashanti Region, are gripped by fear and panic as they contend with a wave of armed robberies that appear to plague their area with alarming regularity.

Speaking to Sompa FM, Bawah Baidoo they conveyed the distressing situation, revealing that there is hardly a day that passes without incidents of robbery, compelling market women to close their businesses at dawn and instilling a pervasive sense of insecurity among locals.

The recent murder of a 30-year-old man, Kwesi Kumi, who was killed last night, has intensified apprehension among Bantama’s residents.

The brutal nature of the incident has exacerbated fears, with community members expressing desperation for improved safety measures.

Residents are fearful of venturing out during the night or early morning hours, and many are imploring the police patrol teams to enhance their efforts, stressing that their lives are in peril.
