Land Guards Shoot Two People Over Cassava Farm At Okurase

Two people are seriously injured after a group of Land Guards shot them over Cassava Farm at Okurase Near Adeiso in the Eastern Region.
Two people are battling for their lives after a group of lands Guard attack them during sharing of Cassava farm at Okurase near Adeiso.
The victims who are from Awutu says, their ancestors bought vast land at Okurase in the Eastern Region but land has been given to some people for farming and every year the land owners goes there for their share know in Akan language as ( YE MA YEN KYE)
According to them, their grandmother releases over 10 acres of land to one man called Anum to cultivate Cassava last year.
In an interview with Angel News, the victims says, their 92 year grandmother send them for their share of the Cassava not knowing the farmers has allegedly organize a group of land Guards led by one “Ninja” in the bush to attack them.
The victim says, while they were in the farm for their share of the Cassava, the Land Guards storm the farm started shooting at them while others also spray their face with pepper spray and later inflict Cutlass wounds.
They victims revealed that, one of the Land Guards told their colleagues to kill them in the nearby forest but one of them stepped inn and send them to Adeiso Police Station.
The victim says, one of the land guards hit his eye with the gun while another fired his head
Meanwhile Mbratohene of Okurase community, Nana Kumavi Amenyanu called on IGP to come to their aid else they will also take the laws into their own hand and face the land guards squarely.
According to him, these land guards led by one man called Ninja is using for take all their land and the okurase community.
