Framso Assembly Members Call For Rehabilitation Of Collapse Bridge

The Assembly Members for Aframso Kyekyebon electoral area in Nsuta Kwamang Beposo district of the Ashanti have called for immediate repair of the Aframso bridge, citing the stranding of hundreds of commuters and massive gridlock on the major road.
The Assembly Member revealed that two deaths have been recorded and urged the government to treat the matter as a national security issue.
The Assembly Members emphasized the urgent need for repair to enable the transportation of farm products and access to schools and hospitals.
In response, the District Chief Executive of Nsuta Kwaman Beposo Hon. Samuel Somua acknowledged the bridge’s dangerous state, noting that repair costs exceed the assembly’s budget.
The DCE has appealed to the government to intervene, specifically requesting that the Ghana Water Company, Ministry of Roads, and Ministry of Works and Housing take immediate action to address the situation.
He urged commuters to remain calm, awaiting the president’s action on the matter.
