United For Progress Assin Chiano Chief Calls For Collective Leadership To Drive Development

The newly enstooled Chief of Assin Chiano and Ayaase in the Assin North District, Nana Yaw Dening Okogyeaman II, has called for unity among traditional leaders and community stakeholders to drive meaningful development in the area.

Speaking during a official engagement ceremony with the Chiano-Ayaase Royal Family and kingmakers, Nana Okogyeaman II urged leaders to rise above partisan politics and internal divisions, and instead, work collectively for the progress of Chiano, Ayaase, and the wider Assin North District.

The area had been without a chief for over a decade following prolonged chieftaincy disputes that stalled development and fractured community efforts.
“Let us put aside petty rivalries and focus on building a united front. True progress can only be achieved in an atmosphere of peace and cooperation,” he emphasized.

Nana Okogyeaman II encouraged all residents to support his vision for a more prosperous and developed community, highlighting unity as the foundation of transformation.

Meanwhile, the former Assembly Member for the area, Mr. Robert Ofosu-Ahwoi, appealed to investors to consider Chiano-Ayaase as a potential hub, stressing that investments would help reduce youth unemployment.
Some community members expressed excitement over the installation of the new chief, calling for the establishment of modern market centers, improved school infrastructure, potable water, and sanitation facilities.

They noted that development had stalled due to the chieftaincy vacuum and now hope the new leadership will bring lasting change.
